Our Vision
We believe that Reconciliation between Indigenous Peoples and non-Indigenous Canadians is the most pressing and compelling imperative facing Canada and Canadians today. It implicates every sector of society and calls upon institutions, communities and individuals alike to participate in this pivotal chapter in Canadian history. Reconciliation will take many forms: it will require an investment of time and resources, a commitment to justice mutual respect and partnership, and a spirit of openness and good faith. And, while Indigenous leaders and communities have unique roles to play and governments have distinct obligations to fulfill, the private and charitable sectors of society also have much to contribute to the Reconciliation enterprise.
